Celebrating 80 years of St George’s Church

The Hall Church of St George, a daughter church of St. Andrew's Rugby, was dedicated on September 14th 1940, by the Bishop of Coventry.  In the year of 2020 we remember the past and celebrate 80 years of Christian worship and fellowship.

As we look forward during this interregnum (period of time without a vicar), please take time to reflect on the history of the church and its people, and join in praying and seeking God for the future.

Following are links to information, recollections and pictures regarding St. George's Church history:
  • Bob Goodall recalls some early history of St George's
  • "A Short History of St. George's, Rugby 1940 - 1980", compiled by Alan Martin
  • Booklet "new church of st george, rugby", from 1962
